Organic Silicon Waterproofing Agent

INTRODUCTION                                                         

HS-10 organic silicon waterproofing agent is a sodium methyl silicon glycol as base material. It’s a small molecule water-soluble mixture, easy to be decomposition by weak acid, under the chemical reaction between carbon dioxide and water, it can produce methyl silica, finally, it forms methyl silyl-ethers (i.e., waterproofing membrane) with good waterproof properties, which is not dissolved in water, also, it’s a water repellent material. It can seal the internal seam of cement mortar or concrete after mixing it into cement mortar or concrete, which can enhance the compactness and improve the permeability resistance. At the same time, the air and water vapor in the material can be passed through the waterproofing membrane, which keeps the permeability of engineering materials. This material has excellent waterproof and air permeable effect.

APPLICATION RANGE                                                           

According to suitable ratio, mix waterproofing agent and water, which makes silicon water. Finally, it makes waterproofing mortar, which application area is:

a.External wall, underground engineering such as external and internal wall, retaining wall etc.

b.Water delivery and water storage construction, such as edible water pool, water tank from waterworks.

c.Roof, toilet, shower room, cave, tunnel, civil air defense engineering.

CONSTRUCTION REQUEST                                               

a.Preparation method and material request: ( weight ratio)

Cement: The best is using 425# common silicon salt cement;        

Water: Common drinkable tap water;

Sand: Hard particle, coarse surface, middle sand is suitable (particle diameter is 1-2mm), mud content less than 3%.

b. Waterproofing mortar construction request

- Base Surface Treatment: Solid construction, clean it after scabbling. While finding crack, edge damage, edge failure and uneven, we should repair it with cement mortar.

- Bonding Layer Treatment: Put 2-3 mm cement paste on some layer, which makes bonding between surface and cement paste, we will not take next process until it reached initial set.

- Waterproof Mortar Treatment: Construction in two layers, 10mm each layer, when low layer is in initial set, press tightly and make pitted surface with wood, after it, make surface layer. When surface layer is in initial set, press tightly, and make pitted surface as protective layer.

- Make Protective Layer: Make 2-3mm thickness impermeable and waterproof mortar.

- Maintenance: In exposed, maintain more than 7 days (normal is 14 days) in normal method. If maintain under high temperature, we should make good shadow measure, and avoid evaporating water untimely.

c. Waterproof Concrete Construction Method:

- Silicon Water Preparation: Waterproofing Agent : Water = 1 : 12 - 13 (Weight Ratio)

- Construction Method: Same as common concrete construction.

CONSTRUTION REQUEST                                                 

a. Surface treatment: surface is clean, flat, free of water, leakage, oil, dust, make convex corner to round.

b. Coating and brushing coating is 4 processes, evenly coat and brush in vertical and horizontal direction, avoid leakage brushing.

c. Next coating and brushing process after front process is curing, while making protective layer, we can spray coarse sand after the last time waterproof layer coating, and coated with cement mortar after curing

e. Material consumption: 1mm thickness is 1.2 - 1.5kg/m2, 1.5mm thickness is 2 - 2.2kg/m2, 2mm thickness is 3kg/m2

NOTE                                                                 

a. This product is alkaline material, we should take labor protection glass and glove while construction, which avoid directly touching skin. While liquid touch skin, we should clean it at once with water.

b. While finding prepared waterproof mortar without enough water caused by silicon, and not ease of application, we should mix silicon water to suitable ratio, not permit to add water.

While meeting rain or too wet on the underside of surface layer, it’s not permit to make construction. While meeting rain invasion after construction, we should check and confirm if free of waterproof effect ( drip water and find water absorption means free of waterproof), we should re spray or paint silicon water twice, waterproof function will be recovered in 1 day later, if found effect is not good, we should re make waterproof mortar.

c. This product is heat or cold resistance, we can make construction in winter, while finding organic silicon waterproof agent freeze due to special cold, it's still used after melt, effect is same.

d. This product should be sealed and stored under shadow and dry place, shelf life is 6 months.
